He received his Bachelor of Science (BSc) from the Department of Mathematics, the University of Istanbul, Istanbul, Turkey.
In 1994, he went to England (UK) for hispostgraduate studies in the Mathematical Logic with the scholarship of Higher Education Council of Turkey (YÖK). He received his MSc degree from the University of Swansea in 1996 and completed his PHD in 2000 at the University of Leeds. (Show more for educational details.)
He come back to Turkey and joined the University of Gaziosmanpaşa in 2000. Since then, he has been working on the mathematical logic. His research interests are mainly in fuzzy soft sets and soft set theory and their applications. He developed several new ideas on soft set theory and published more than 80 research papers in high quality international journals and conference proceedings and one book (Show all paplications). He participated at about 50 conferences and gave research talks (Show all presentations). He also supervised 8 PhD and 17 MSc students (Show all students).
Moreover, he is interested game theory and developed some new games; most popular one is NC- Backgammon (No Chance Backgammon) playing without dice.
He had some past positions at the University of Gaziosmanpaşa. He served as the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Director of the Institute of Science and Technology, Head of Department of Informatics, Erasmus Coordinator of the Department of Mathematics, Academic Advisor of the Mathematics Club. He is a founder of three scientific research journals. He worked as an Editor-in-Chief of these journals; Journal of New Results in Science (2012-2014), Gaziosmanpaşa Bilimsel Araştırma Dergisi (in Turkish) (2012-2014), and Journal of New Theory (2014-present).
He is also a member of Turkish Mathematical Society since 2000.(Update: 07.01.2018)
